PurposeThis study aimed to describe the influence of race, environment, and era in Andalusian society on Ibn Zaidun's hymn (praise) tahniah (congratulations) poetry using perspective Hippolite Adolf Taine. MethodThis was a qualitative research library design that relied Diwan Zaidun: Rasailuhu, Akhbaruhu, Syi'rul Mikjain written by Kamil Kailani Abdurrahman. This analyzed tradition praise (madah) congratulations (tahniah) community 19 Zaydun's poems communicated with 3 indicators Taine's theory social facts, namely climate, time factors. Results/FindingsThis revealed three aspects facts poetry, namely: 1) Ras-Spirit, showing has writing for leaders; 2) Environment-Milieau, cool climate surrounded beautiful green plants have strong Literature, giving rise many expressions natural beauty their poems, especially poetry; 3) The Age Moments privileging muwashahat, so poets paid great attention rhyme (qafiyah) uses language Arabic became greater number poems.
